Our

Alletsons has grown by focusing on the needs of the community which we
aim to serve and this approach has largely determined the types of legal
services we provide today.

Making a will (including information on Lasting Powers of Attorney)

of wills trusts or settlements. A will is essential to ensure that your

Older clients (including information on Lasting Powers of Attorney)
Practising in a retirement area, as we do in and around Burnham-on Sea,
we have developed the specialist skills and experience needed to provide
the breadth of legal advice required by the retired and elderly. We are
frequently asked to provide advice on the financial implications of retirement,
personal taxation, provision of long-term care and drawing up of powers
of attorney.

Independent financial advice
Through our links with Independent Financial Advisors we are able to provide
our clients with access to professional advice and guidance on a wide
variety of matters including mortgages, investments and insurance.

Business law
Our wide experience in business and commercial environments provides a
sound basis on which to give professional advice to sole traders, partnerships
and limited companies on a range of matters including commercial leases
and business purchases and sales.
Leases and tenancies
Landlord and tenant law as applied to England and Wales is particularly
complex and technical. There is a raft of regulations which need to be
observed when drawing up contracts and agreements in order to protect
both parties. We are able to give good, clear advice to both landlords
and tenants on the preparation of both leases and tenancy agreements.
Litigation
In our increasingly litigious environment, becoming caught up in litigation
or, perhaps, needing to resort to the law to redress an injustice or gain
compensation from another’s actions is becoming more commonplace.
Alletsons is able to give advice in:
accident and personal injury claims
debt recovery and commercial claims
employment issues
dispute resolution generally
Divorce and relationship breakdown
Divorce or the dissolution of a Civil Partnership is a time of great stress for both parties involved and we are able to work in such cases with care and sensitivity to make the process as painless as possible. In particular our long experience in these matters helps us to guide the parties in such issues as:
- division of the home and property
- financial provision and maintenance
- separation and property disputes involving couples who are not married or civil partners
Legal Aid
We no longer offer Legal Aid ourselves but should a client become eligible
we are able to refer them to other firms locally who can assist them.
